Technical Support Engineer H/F (CDI)

ADEKA is a global chemicals company with annual sales of over €2 billion. The polymer additives division is an important strategic activity for our multinational company.

Hybrid in Rousset or remote, we are looking for a Technical Support Engineer permanent contract.

Your tasks :  

Provide technical support to the sales team on technical request from customers for the all product portfolio

• Provide technical support to the sales team to create new business opportunities
• Help the sales team to identify new customer needs and technically support them to provide an additive solution
• Collect and understand the customer’s needs, technical requirements, through the sales team or through joined discussions with the customers
• Elaborate the technical recommendation to the customer via the technical sales representatives
• If required, provide the technical details on the customer requirements to the technical team in Japan to get their advice

Support the sales team for the promotion of our additives:

• Leverage and present existing additives technical presentations to customers
• Develop presentations to match specific customer requirements and support the discussion

Management of specific customer technical projects

• Provide technical input to the R&D Laboratory in Japan
• Coordinate the technical work done in the R&D Laboratory in Japan

Identify market needs or application data required

• Gather new market needs through customer discussions and help to develop the additive solution
• Communicate new market needs or new data required to the laboratories in Japan

Exposure to the market

• Participate to customer meetings for technical discussion in collaboration with the sales team
• Participate and represent ADEKA at conferences

Technical profile:

Education: Master of Science in Chemistry or in Plastics.

Couple of years of experience in the processing of plastics, in plastic additives, in technical support, in customer relationship

English, German additional languages eg. French will be an advantage

Specific technical experience with flame retardants, nucleating agents, and clarifying agents in the compounding and recycling of plastics will also be an advantage
