Following the recent air pollution crisis in China, the Chinese government ordered to temporarily shut down 1200 factories.1 After several weeks, they were authorized to resume production but only partially.
Those actions generate disruption in the supply of various raw materials including the ones contained in broadly utilized light stabilizers such as Bis(2,2,6,6-tetramethyl-4-piperidyl) sebaceate (CAS No. 52829-07-9).
The current and foreseeable future situation is exposing plastic producers to shortage and higher prices fluctuations influenced by the supply VS demand situation. Therefore, stable supply and pricing of light stabilizers containing sebacic acid cannot be guaranteed for the future.
Adeka Palmarole offers alternatives by providing a broad range of sebacic acid-free light stabilizers. Below is a short introduction of our key products. Contact us here for further information.
